Douglass,
I have been digging for answers ever since reading The Big Short. You videos have been the most informative I have come across. My question is this:
I have switched my 401K into an IRA to be able to expand my options and get closer to cash. I know FDIC insurance can take 99 years to be paid back. What options would I have in a Fidelity IRA that would most likely result in a return of my money. Are there Swiss instruments available or am I screwed no matter what? Best Regards and keep up the great work.
Phil
You do have options, including moving even IRA money to a Swiss Bank, although this does depend on the amount as the minimums in Switzerland are upwards of $1 Million to open a new account. Please feel free to contact my office and schedule an appointment with me if you wish to discuss this specifically. My assistant is Coletta@lodmell.com Thanks, Doug
